Anna’s racing season got underway this week with the official launch of the 2018 British GT Championship at Donington Park.
After two years with Century Motorsport Anna has joined 2016 GT4 Teams’ champions Team HARD Racing. She will be partnered with young racer Callum Hawkins-Row, who finished third in class in the Britcar Endurance Championship with Team HARD Racing.
“I’ve raced against Team HARD in the British GT Championship so I know what they can do and I know that they can put a competitive car on the grid,” Anna said. “A bonus for me is my partner Callum Hawkins-Row, an up and coming driver who is one to watch out for. Coupled with my experience of racing Ginettas in the British GT Championship, we’ve covered everything that we need to get a good result.
“I want to be challenging for the front – that’s where the goal is set – and I don’t think that is unreasonable with the pairing we have. The previous University of Bolton branding on the car will be re-branded as the National Centre for Motorsport Engineering so it’ll be quite exciting to launch NCME for the year.”
The brand new livery on the Ginetta unveiled at the Media Day carries the new NCME colour scheme and logo.
Part of the British GT Media Day incorporates test sessions, so it was ideal for a shakedown for Anna in the new car and to iron out any mechanical gremlins and to work with Callum prior to the first round. It was also a pleasure for Anna to celebrate International Women’s Day in style driving on track for the championship launch.
Round 1 is at Oulton Park over the Easter weekend and we are looking forward to going racing.
